1. When I learned Gelato Publishing's next research trip was to Eureka Springs, Arkansas (which I'd been to before), I had already started brainstorming my next book. I really wanted to use a Frank Lloyd Wright house. Imagine how excited I was to find out there was one in Bentonville, and we added it to our itinerary. Using that house was meant to be!
2. I took my family to an escape room (my first experience with one) for research. (Can you tell I love my job?)
3. This book released the same week the latest film version of Jane Austen's Emma did.
